An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic practitioner with Early Years Teacher Status or a relevant Level 6 qualification to lead our brand new Nursery. You will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and delivery of our Early Years curriculum and will work closely with the headteacher and teaching team.

Provides creative, engaging and exciting learning opportunities to motivate and engage our Nursery children in active learning and exploration

Can inspire and support the Nursery team as part of our journey to attaining excellence

Constantly strives to improve their practice by setting themselves and others high standards relating to planning, teaching and assessment

Finds and develops the potential in all children.

Job Description

· Being an active and involved member of the whole school team, which may include attending staff meetings and being involved in the wider school community life

· Planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for Nursery in partnership with the team.

· Forming strong bonds with children, tailoring care and provision to their individual needs and interests

· Delivering high quality teaching and learning tailored to the children's individual needs, with maximum impact on children's outcomes.

· Ensuring children are provided with every opportunity to meet their full potential through stimulating and relevant experiences, promoting the Characteristics of Effective Learning

· Ensuring the learning environment enables the delivery of our curriculum, and that resources are of high quality, safe and fit for purpose

· Promoting children's sense of belonging supporting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities for all

· Managing effective record keeping, to include children's developmental records, observations, assessments, accident reports , first aid etc

· Building and valuing supportive parent partnerships, ensuring that parents are engaged in their children's learning, and promoting home learning ideas and experiences

· Leading termly learning conferences with parents to feedback, share expertise, knowledge and details of children's progress and next steps

· Demonstrating effective and consistent communication with colleagues, parents and other professionals where relevant
