KS1 Classroom Teaching Assistant

Required September 2025

20 hours per week | Term time only (38 weeks) | Scale 2

Closing date: Friday 13th June 2025

Interview date: Wednesday 18th June 2025

We are seeking a friendly, empathetic and enthusiasticTeachingAssistant to provide classroom support for children within KS1, across the school and lunch time cover.

We are looking for someone who ideally is:

  • confident, calm and patient
  • experienced in accelerating the learning whilst working in small groups
  • experienced in teaching phonics and supporting pupils with speech and language needs
  • has experience of, and an understanding of working one to one with children with additional needs
  • able to work as part of a team and liaise closely with Class Teachers, Senior Managers and parents.

Appropriate training will be given as required. This role could be suitable for somebody beginning their career in education.

Start date will be in September 2025, dependent on availability of successful candidate and subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks.
