Caretaker Part-time - 25 hours per week
LGS Scale 7 Points 19-24 dependent on experience
Work Pattern 07.00- 09.00 daily (2 hours) and 3.00-6.00pm (3.0 hours) daily to be negotiated
An enthusiastic, practical and reliable person is required to join our site team at this large Infant School. You must have an aptitude for maintenance tasks and be able to work on your own initiative. Key duties will include site security, minor repairs, grounds and general maintenance, porterage.
Previous experience in a similar position is essential. Qualifications or experience in a trade (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, building) is also desirable.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Practical experience in general maintenance
- Good reading and writing skills
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance
- Lettings out of school hours
- Possess a confident, positive and flexible attitude
- Be able to follow instructions accurately but make good judgments and lead when required
- Be keen to learn and develop own skills, and take on any necessary training where required
- Possess good interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people and to assess and diffuse confrontational situations
- Possess the capacity to remain calm and to cope with the unexpected
- Will be able to undertake the physical demands of the role
- Possess an excellent attendance and time keeping record.
