Shorefields is a special needs school on the coastline of Essex. We have 160 amazing pupils aged 3 to 19 identified with complex SEND. We are committed to providing an outstanding standard of education through meaningful research which informs our teaching and learning approaches.

We provide personalised, innovative, flexible, learning programmes and therapies to support children and young people with statements of educational needs and education health and care plans. The school adapts to our learner's needs, not the other way around.

Information about the School

Shorefields School caters for the needs of pupils with a range of severe learning difficulties. We currently have 160 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 19 years. The school is located in the centre of Clacton-on-Sea close to the beach and shopping area. Our catchment area extends to the whole of the Tendring peninsula
