Design & Technology Technician


Salary: Band B Point 7-12
(£18,989.73 - £20,563.54 per annum)

32 hours 30 minutes per week
Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
37 weeks per year, term time only

Start date: April 2025

We are looking to appoint a flexible and motivated Design and Technology Technician to join our Technology Team. The successful candidate will enable pupils' access to learning by providing technical advice and support in the practical aspects of the curriculum by preparing, maintaining and organising equipment and materials. You will work with pupils as directed by the teacher, supporting safe and sensible behaviour during practical tasks. You will maintain the cleanliness and security of specialist areas and equipment and maintain equipment taking basic repairs and modifications.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate patience and show a commitment to supporting learners to improve educational outcomes. This role would be suited to someone enthusiastic, personable, empathetic, and able to communicate effectively, whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner, under pressure. Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

St Clere’s Secondary School is located on the edge of Stanford-le-hope, surrounded by a large expanse of fields needed for a vast array of sports activities.
