Newport Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, knowledgeable,reliable and dedicated SENDCO following the retirement of our current SENDCO. The post will be for 2 days a week.
We are looking for the successful candidate to work alongside the Headteacher and newly appointed Deputy Headteacher to be responsible for cultivating an inclusive learning environment throughout Newport Primary School. Please see the attached job description and specification for more details on the expectations within your role.
Some of the key responsibilities will be:
• Oversee the strategic direction and development of the school offer for SEND pupils
• Liaise with externalagencies and coordinate provision of necessary specialist support for pupils
Newport Primary School is a one form entry primary school with 162 pupils. Following a recent appointment of a new Headteacher in September 2024, Newport Primary School is in an exciting position as it begins a new journey to success.
