Position: Office Manager GDPR/H&S/HR (Limited Finance) Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Permanent Position 28 Hours per week Scale 7 Range Pt 19-24 Essex Schools Pay Scale (Working pattern to be agreed with minimum of 4 working days, possibly one from home)

Paid weeks 46.9 (if under 5 years' service) or 47.6 (if over 5 years' service)
Actual Salary <5 Years £20,269 -£22,815 or >5 Years £20,571-£22,910

We are looking to appoint an experienced Office Manager to lead our friendly and committed office team. We are keen to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable professional who is approachable, organised and motivated.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a fast-paced office environment both within a team and independently. They will have excellent written and grammatical skills and be able to communicate with parents, children, colleagues and governors effectively. They will be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and an aptitude to understand and operate school systems to serve the organisation.
Main areas of responsibility will include:
· The line management of the school administration team and Site Manager
· To have overall responsibility for all work undertaken by the administrative support staff and to allocate and monitor workloads
· To manage and co-ordinate Personnel HR matters relating to conditions of employment, recruitment, contracts and pay
· To be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of recruitment for staff are carried out in accordance with Safer Recruitment
· To take responsibility for ensuring that the Finance Officer receives the information they require regarding staff appointments/payment and work alongside to assist in budget maintenance and contract management
· To plan and monitor the work of the office. To anticipate termly demands and plan accordingly. To ensure adequate office cover during staff sickness
· To interface with the school communication systems such as the website and ScoPay/Schools Grid
· To perform monthly payroll and pension administrative duties
· To form part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to operational and strategic planning
· To have the responsibility as delegated by the Headteacher for Health and Safety
· To have the responsibility as delegated by the Headteacher for GDPR
· To undertake updating of policies and liaising with Clerk to the Governors to ensure governance compliance and attendance at Finance Governors meetings
