The Governing Body are looking to appoint a School Business Manager to join our friendly and supportive office team. The main function of the role will be the day to day operational, financial, and business management of the Academy.
The position is for 3 days per week, 39 weeks (term time) plus 4 weeks.
Salary Scale 9 Pt. 29 £32,910 + outer fringe (pro-rata £19,165)
The successful applicant will be responsible for all matters relating to the administration of the academy's finances in accordance with the Academies Financial Handbook, including control account reconciliations, producing monthly management accounts, budgeting and financial forecasting, statutory returns, HR management, resources, and premises management.
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
· DSBM / AAT / CIMA or working towards a financial qualification.
· Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills including Excel and Word.
· Experience of working in an Academy.
· Experience of SIMs Financial Management System and SIMs.net.
· Ability to prioritise workload, organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· To ensure that the deadlines for all statutory returns to the Education and Skills Funding Agency are met.
· To have a flexible approach to daily tasks with the ability to work well both independently and within a team.
· To support the Headteacher with managerial, secretarial, personnel, administration, and clerical duties
