Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) (Band 3 - new scale 6)
Required September 2021
27 hours per week - term time only, five days a week
Maylandsea Primary School is part of The Eveleigh LINK Academy Trust and is looking for an HLTA. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and capable HLTA to work across the whole school providing PPA cover.
Duties include:
providing PPA cover across the school to whole classes
teaching groups and/or whole classes including English and maths across the school
assisting with preparing and planning lessons and learning activities
assessing, recording and reporting to teachers on pupils' development, progress and attainment
The successful candidate will be:
well organised, flexible, energetic and efficient
educated to a good standard including in English and maths
an experienced primary school practitioner with the skills, experience and confidence to teach classes across the primary age range
an excellent team member with good communication skills
able to implement effective behaviour management procedures
calm, professional and adaptable
