Job Description
Cherry Tree Primary School and Nursery has an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join the
team.
The position is for 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
The hours are Monday to Friday, 12.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Salary Scale 5 Point NPS 8-11 (actual salary £17,165- £18,184 depending on experience and
qualifications). This includes paid annual leave which must be taken during the closure periods

Cherry Tree Primary School and Nursery and is located in Church Road, Basildon. We are one of
eight schools which form the Berlesduna Academy Trust (www.berlesduna.co.uk), where the

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, conscientious and self-motivated Site Manager
who will provide a key role in maintaining our school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment
for the whole school community. We are looking for someone who will take pride in the school and its
inclusive environment with a proactive and flexible outlook.
The successful applicant will:
undertake cleaning duties and effectively monitor cleanliness around the school, keeping a track
on stock levels and ordering supplies
carry out a range of building maintenance, first line repairs and DIY duties, ensuring our
buildings and grounds are secure and well maintained with a high standard of appearance
be responsible for unlocking the premises and supervising the gates at the end of the school day
and any other times necessary.
carry out and record statutory checks and maintain Health and Safety records
liaise with contractors and monitor their work whilst on the school site
work well as part of a team and has a commitment to improving and developing their own
practice.
