Merrylands Primary School and Nursery has an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join the team asap.
This is a full time position working 37 hours per week, during term time and school holidays.
Salary Scale 5, Point 9 (Range 9-12). Actual starting salary £25,808 per annum, which includes paid annual leave.

Merrylands Primary School and Nursery is located in Cumberland Drive, Laindon, Basildon. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, conscientious and self-motivated Site Manager who will provide a key role in maintaining our school site, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
· carry out a range of building maintenance, first line repairs and DIY duties, ensuring our buildings and grounds are secure and well maintained with a high standard of appearance
· be responsible for unlocking the premises and supervising the gate at the start/end of the school day and other times when necessary
· carry out and record statutory checks and maintain Health & Safety records
· liaise with contractors and monitor their work whilst on the school site
· undertake cleaning duties and effectively monitor cleanliness around the school, keeping track of stock levels and ordering supplies
· work well as part of a team and has a commitment to improving and developing their own practice
