Teaching Assistant (SEND) - 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

25 hours per week

Required ASAP

LGS Band 2 point 11-14. [Term time only]

The Governors are seeking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our strong and successful team on a 1 year fixed term contract.

We are inviting applications for an experienced, dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to work with a child with medical funding within Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will assist in supporting differentiated teaching and learning as well as implementing a Personal Care Plan. Experience of supporting children with general learning difficulties, language skills and specific medical conditions would be beneficial but not essential. Applicants should specify their experience and suitability for this post.

The main duties include working under the direction and in partnership with the SENCo and classteacher to support learning in line with the National Curriculum, Person Centred Plans and Consistent Management Plans; joining a team of dedicated TA's, supporting codes of practice, school policies and procedures.

Suitable applicants will need to demonstrate patience, flexibility and a commitment to supporting learners in their academic, social and personal development.

The successful applicants will need to support the Christian ethos of the school.

Minimum qualification of GCSE Mathematics and English grade C would be preferable or equivalent qualification.
