1:1 SEND LSA
30 hours per week Band 2 Point 11-14
Required mid November

Fixed Term contract until 31st August 2018

with the possibility of being extended

The Governors of Great Dunmow Primary school are seeking to appoint an SEND LSA to work with specifically with a child with ASD in a busy learning environment. Experience of working with a child with ASD in a school environment desirable but not essential as we are looking for the right candidate for our pupil. We are a friendly, happy and caring school and are looking for a candidate who will contribute to our very effective learning environment.

We are looking for someone who has:

¨ Been educated to GCSE level in English and Maths and if possible a relevant LSA training qualification

¨ Experience in working 1:1 with children with specific needs

¨ A caring and sensitive approach

¨ Positive attitude, along with a good sense of humour

¨ Good communication and motivational skills to encourage pupils to achieve to the best of their ability

You will be expected to:

¨ Undertake training as required

¨ Keep up to date with changes and developments in education relevant to the role

¨ Carry out lunchtime duties with the specific child

¨ Work in collaboration with other colleagues
