SEN Learning Support Assistant (12 hours per week, Thursdays and Fridays term time only) - Fixed Term until August 2018

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work on a one to one basis with a Key Stage 2 child. The post is for 2 days a week during term time and is linked to the child's Education, Health and Care Plan until August 2018. Ideally the successful applicant would have some experience of working with children with autism and SEMH needs. This is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2018.

They will be required to:

  • work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo.
  • support the child with social, emotional and educational needs.
  • have a good understanding of literacy, communication and numeracy development.
  • have the ability to build effective relationships with staff, parents and children.
  • show initiative and flexibility.
  • have experience of working with children with autism
  • have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Dr Walker’s Church of England Primary School is a small village Voluntary Controlled community school, in the heart of Fyfield, Ongar. We might be small, but have a lot to offer!
