Catering Assistant
Band 1 to mid-point - Pro rata
Actual salary £6,195-£6235
17.5 hours per week
Term time only (39 weeks)
We wish to appoint a Catering Assistant to help with all aspects of the preparation of food and beverages in the Academy canteen. Under the direction of the Catering Manager you will be required to prepare, cook and serve food and drinks to students, staff and visitors. You will assist with the cleaning of catering equipment, cooking equipment, crockery etc. to ensure that the required standards of hygiene and cleanliness are met.
You will be:
· Able to demonstrate an interest and practical ability in food preparation
· Reliable, efficient and well organised
· Able to communicate effectively with students and colleagues
· Flexible and supportive in your attitude to work
· Able to work effectively as part of a team
· Have appropriate qualifications and/or experience. A Basic Food Hygiene certificate will be required but training will be provided if necessary.
