Information about the School
Acorn Academy is a three form entry infant school in Witham. The school benefits from a 36 place nursery where all children attend for 5 mornings each week (15 hours) and some stay for some or all afternoons (up to a further 15 hours). The school also has a 12 place specialist speech and language provision for children who are identified as needing this specialist support. Children are taught in single age classes and their learning is facilitated by their teachers around themes that the children have chosen. The school is well resourced and there is an interactive projector and whiteboard in every classroom. The school is committed to the professional development of all staff and encourages everyone to attend both local and national training to meet their needs.
