School Counsellor

Required As Soon As Possible - One Year Fixed Term

LGS Scale 7 & 8 Points 19 to 28 depending on experience

Actual salary £22,069 to £27,899 per annum including Outer Fringe Allowance

37 hours per week.

Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:00pm and Friday 8.00am to 3:30pm

Term Time only (38 weeks)

The role will be based at both The Bromfords School and The Billericay School. The successful candidate will be required to work across both locations, as required.

Monday, Tuesday and Friday at The Billericay School

Wednesday and Thursday at The Bromfords School

We seek to appoint an experienced and skilled School Counsellor to join a team of 2 Counsellors across the two schools. Applicants should have qualifications which are accredited either to the BACP or The British Psychological Society, together with experience of working with young people.

The school counsellor role will be to support the physical, mental health and emotional wellbeing of pupils through the delivery and implementation of one to-one counselling sessions. The counsellor will work in partnership within a pastoral team to assist with the further development of a therapeutic and holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing of pupils supporting and modelling the values and ethos of the school
