This independent day and boarding School in North Essex has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified, inspiring and talented teacher to join our Geography department and teach across all age ranges (Years 9 to 13) within our Senior School.

It is key that the successful candidate is passionate about Geography, has strong subject knowledge and is committed to being fully involved with fieldwork.

This position is a permanent role from September 2022. This role would particularly suit an ECT or someone suitably qualified, with a relevant degree, looking to enter the profession. The school has an excellent support programme for beginning teachers and works with IStip to enable ECTs to be awarded full QTS: in our recent inspection of our ECT programme through IStip they confirmed that "Felsted School is running an excellent programme of induction…which is committed to developing new staff, particularly those starting out in the profession." There is the potential for an unqualified teacher to be supported through a PGCE programme in due course.

A desire to fully contribute to the co-curricular activities at the School is a must at this 'Excellentin every aspect' ISI rated school, including boarding, tutoring, sports and activity programme. Originally founded by Richard Lord Riche as a Church of England Grammar School, Felsted School is proud of a heritage that dates back to 1564.
