An opportunity has arisen for a skilled support professional to assist in the administration and communications function of the Alpha Teaching School Hub. We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, calm under pressure and has a knowledge and experience of administration and technology. Good written English, attention to detail, discretion and flexibility are also essential. They will communicate effectively with a range of colleagues within education, across the Hub area and beyond. This role will require both independent working and the ability to be a team player, and will suit someone who has the drive and ambition to support our Teaching School Hub to be the very best.
The successful candidate will be required to assist in the operational and administrative functions of the Teaching School Hub such as dealing with information data systems with the DfE and our partner providers, developing communications, assisting in training plans and course bookings. The role will also involve working with developing, designing and distributing promotional materials via websites, newsletters, emails and social media campaigns across the region. The Administrator will be the first point of contact for all enquiries and requests regarding the Hub. The role will be an exciting and demanding one.
Actual salary - £18,676 - 37 hrs - Monday to Friday - 41 weeks per year.
Core hours of 08.30 to 16.30 (or similar) with some occasional requirement for early evening work between 1600 and 1900
This role will be offered as a fixed term contract for 2 years, which runs alongside the national funding award. It is expected that during this time the Teaching School Hub will establish itself with a strong reputation that will continue to receive national investment and recognition.

Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust. It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding". Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students into the Sixth Form. The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site. Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
