Course Tutor (Part-Time): to start January 2022 (or earlier)
Fixed Term contract to 31 August 2022
Salary Scale: Lead Practitioner (range of 5-9)
Mid Essex ITT is seeking new part-time Course Tutor to support its cohort of secondary trainee teachers. This exciting role would suit someone with a passion for educating the next generation of teachers and would ideally suit those wishing to move into middle or senior leadership in the future. The role comes with additional incentives including membership of The Chartered College of Teaching and the National Association of School-Based Teacher Trainers. Essential criteria:
· Qualified Teacher Status, plus a minimum of five years teaching experience
· Experience of mentoring
· Presentation skills
· A good working knowledge of ITT schemes
· A commitment to the work of teacher training
· A willingness to keep up to date with the recent developments in ITT
· Ability to manage a variable caseload often involving complex pastoral issues
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Able and willing to follow the role as outlined in the job specification
Desirable criteria:
· Masters
· Experience of curriculum and/or assessment design
· Experience in liaising with multiple stakeholders e.g. mentors, trainees, senior leaders
· Experience of adhering to statutory guidance and implementation of new policies and practices
· Experience of line management of staff
