Elsenham C of E Primary School is looking for an inspiring leader and passionate educator who can promote the Christian vision of our school to join us as Headteacher in September 2021.

Elsenham C. of E. Primary School is located in the village of Elsenham, close to the market town of Bishop's Stortford. At present we area growing school and have almost completed the transition to two form entry.

Our children start in Reception at the age of 4 and leave us at the end of Year 6, aged11. The school is an integral part of the village and we work closely with all of the other organisations in the area to promote a sense of community.

At Elsenham C. of E. Primary School, we foster high standards of learning and behaviour in a happy and caring environment and promote excellence throughout the school. We aim to provide the best possible staffing, resources and organisation needed to help every child achievetheir potential. There is excellent support from the community and local church and supportive parents who uphold the Christian ethos of the school.

We believe that the education of all children relies on a shared partnership between home and school, and we are fortunate that we have supportive parents who work with us to help provide the best possible learning opportunities for the children. Our most recent OFSTED inspection report (March 2019), praised the work of our school and judged us Good overall with Outstanding Effectiveness of leadership and management, Early years provision and Personal development, behaviour and welfare. As we look to the future, we will continue to build on these as we aim forfurther school improvement.

Together, we are all working towards our children being confident and independent learners who have the courage to seize all opportunities available to them both now and in the future. Every one of our children is special with talents and strengths in a variety of areas.To enable them to be successful we deliver a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum, which is fun, challenging and accessible to all.
