Canvey Island Infant School is looking for an experienced teacher who would like to join our excellent team in January 2020. We are a happy, friendly and forward-looking school, where children thrive in a caring and happy environment, through excitement and joy in learning.
The position is a 2 day job-share, joining an already established and experienced teacher to teach a Year 1 class, initially. Experience of teaching in Reception is desirable.
The successful applicant will:
- be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching
- have a secure knowledge of how children learn best
- expect high standards from all children and have a good understanding of how to support children's progress
- have energy, creativity, a sense of fun and the ability to be flexible
- be able to work co-operatively in a team
