We are looking to appoint a highly organised, efficient and enthusiastic finance and office assistant to join our office team.

The successful applicant will:

  • have secure numeracy and literacy skills and it is desirable (but not essential) that the successful applicant will have previous experience of working in a busy office with a good understanding of finance and organisational skills
  • display a professional attitude, drive and energy to support the Headteacher and office team to make a difference in our school
  • have experience of processing financial transactions
  • be a team player, with excellent written and communication skills
  • preferably have knowledge and experience of SIMS and Parent Pay
  • be able to use their initiative to work as part of a team, remaining calm under pressure

This role will be 35 hours a week term time plus INSET days, 8:30-4:30 including lunch break.Actual annual salary range pro-rated for a 35 hour per week for term time plus INSET days ranges from approximately £14519 to £15378, or £9.36 and £9.74 per hour dependent upon experience

Gosfield Community Primary School is a small village school located in the beautiful countryside just outside Halstead. We are a 'good' school (2023) and are constantly striving to be the best we can be. We part of Attain Academy Partnership, based within Newlands Spring Primary School. Within our MAT we are linked with Newlands Springs, Rayne Primary School, Elm Hall, deVere Primary, Bocking Primary and Cressing Primary School.
