Class Teacher - Year 4 (Maternity Cover)

Required from January 2020 for up to 1 year, minimum 2 terms

Due to maternity, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated teacher to join our Key Stage 2 team. South Benfleet Primary School is a popular school with 420 children situated in the heart of the local community. Our most recent and very positive Ofsted report in March 2019 found that we continue to bea 'good' school. We aim for our children to be educated in-line with our school's motto: Smile, Believe, Persevere, Succeed.

This position is more suited for an experienced teacher who is keen to develop and advance their career.

We are looking to appoint a teacher who is:

· able to bring learning to life through a creative practical curriculum;

· an excellent communicator who is committed to working in partnership with children, staff and parents;

South Benfleet Primary School is a well-established, successful school which is counting down to its 100th birthday in 2026! Many of our parents and grandparents were educated here and although teaching methods and curriculum content have changed over the years, our ethos hasn't. We take great pride in our reputation for being ‘a friendly, caring, family school’. We have well behaved and engaged learners with great parental support.

The school has over 400 children on roll. We are a 2 form entry school with 14 classes and a total staff of over 60. We have no mixed age classes. We are located in the heart of South Benfleet with good access to local shops and transport links
