Join us on our Journey to Outstanding.

At The Hathaway Academy, we regard education as a journey, not just a process. Our destination is clear: a Journey to Outstanding is the mission of our Principal, who has already taken the Academy from Requires Improvement to Good.

This is an exciting time to join us, as we move from Good to Outstanding, and you can expect exceptional support from your colleagues and our Governors. What's more, we operate at the heart of Academy Transformation Trust, so your career could take you anywhere you want to go within a fast-growing network of academies - including academy leadership roles. We are certain you will find working here rewarding in more ways than one, as our Together Platform offers a comprehensive package of benefits. You can expect a health cash plan, shopping discounts, cycle-to-work and gym schemes, cinema tickets and an employee assistance programme - plus all the satisfaction of teaching within a progressive community, not just a school.

We seek to appoint an experienced HLTA with a degree, a professional approach and empathetic and caring temperament. The role of the HLTA will have a major impact on Teaching and Learning and outcomes for students within each of the three Faculties.

We are looking for someone who is:

An outstanding HTLA, passionate about raising standards.
Passionate about staff professional development.
Able to think creatively to make learning exciting and relevant to all our students.
Clear about how to increase rates of progress for all students.
Dedicated to developing students' abilities.
Highly organised and able to manage their time effectively.
Willing to 'go the extra mile' to support our students and the life of the Academy.
A reflective practitioner, keen to develop and progress.
Aspirational in their pursuit of excellence for the student and their own development.

We have:

Students who are quickly developing a passion for learning.
A caring, friendly and supportive staff.
Well resourced, dedicated classrooms.
A commitment to your personal career development.

You can discover what makes us different when you visit our Academy and meet our Principal and students and accelerate your own J2O.
