With the flexibility of covering fixed shifts at schools due to sickness and/or holidays. This may also include the covering of external evening lettings. Role is Monday to Friday, but may require some weekend work when covering shifts.
Reporting to the Portico Academy Trust Facilities Manager, the multi academy trust (MAT) encompasses 5 schools in the South Essex area, you will be a team player who takes pride in the appearance and maintenance of the MATs buildings and grounds.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, friendly, highly motivated and flexible individual who possesses general building maintenance and caretaking skills.
You should have a good range of DIY skills such as electrical work, decorating, minor plumbing and carpentry. You will have good communication skills as you will be liaising with contractors and tradesmen as well as students and staff. You should have an awareness of COSHH, safe manual handling practices and Health and Safety
Duties may also include general cleaning, dealing with spillages, blockages, locking and unlocking the sites and any ad-hoc duties as required.
Full driving licence and use of own car is essential as you may be required to attend multiple MAT sites in a day or outside of normal hours
