ICT Technician
Essex
Permanent, Full Time
£18,674.00 - £23,978.00 per annum
Put the power of ICT behind our students' education.
At Academy Transformation Trust, we're on a mission. We want to transform education, performance and lives, and we're giving young people the best possible start to their careers across our fast-growing network of academies. A not-for-profit trust, we focus on our students' interests in everything we do, and we are passionate about using innovative technology to accelerate learning.
As one of our highly valued ICT Technicians, you will be based at a secondary academy in Harlow, but operate across a number of schools in the Essex area. We will look to you to support our Network Managers in expanding and maintaining academy ICT systems, involving you in everything from planned expansions and migrations to reactive maintenance and the specification of new software.
Every day, being a Technician with ATT will bring different challenges, as you ensure that our systems remain operational, easy to use and virus-free, and create user guides for teachers and students. Naturally, you will need sound experience of providing ICT support, spanning network operating systems, equipment and cabling, good understanding of LAN, WAN and internet topologies, and a deep understanding of hardware, software and programming.
Equally importantly, you should be able to manage your time effectively and prioritise a workload across multiple sites, and you will enjoy dealing with end users. If you are familiar with the application of ICT in education, so much the better, but it's your passion for best practice and your meticulous attention to detail that will matter most.
In return, we offer a highly competitive salary and a comprehensive package of benefits via our Together Platform. You will enjoy a generous pension scheme, health cash plan, shopping discounts, cycle-to-work and gym schemes, cinema tickets and an employee assistance programme - plus the chance to progress your career and become a Network Manager or even a Regional Network Manager.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subjected to an Enhanced DBS check and references
