Teacher of Drama or Drama with Dance
1 year fixed term full time contract
Pay Range: NQT/MPS/UPS
Required for start in September 2019
The Boswells School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher of Drama or Drama with Dance on a one year fixed term, full time contract. We are looking for the successful candidate to deliver high quality Drama or Drama and Dance lessons and to develop an already strong provision within the Performing and Creative Arts Faculty.
You will be joining a school with enthusiastic and dedicated leaders at senior and middle leadership levels and a commitment to the professional development of staff. The Boswells School is an 11-18, very successful, popular and oversubscribed school in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, Essex. In 2018,at GCSE 88% of all students achieved a 'good pass' (Grade 4+) in English (either Language or Literature or both) and 72% of students achieved a good pass in Mathematics. Both of these measures are significantly above the national averages, as was the percentage of students achieving a 'strong pass (Grade 5+). At A Level, 68% of all grades awarded were A*-B grades and 93% A*- C grades.All these measures of attainment are significantly above local and national averages and mean we are the highest performing non selective state school in Essex for A Levels.

The school is an extremely popular, over-subscribed convertor academy that enjoys an excellent reputation in the local and wider community.
