To cover sickness absence (Fixed term)
32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year plus 5.3 weeks holiday pay (Term time plus INSET days). Band 2, point 3 (April 19 scales) £13,572 (actual)
Required as soon as possible, to work within a busy and successful Design and Technology Department. Typical Duties would include preparing equipment and materials, maintaining and carrying out safety checks on the machinery. Monitoring stock levels of materials and keeping the workshops clean and tidy.
Occasional support of staff and students during lessons, plus some administration duties relating to extra-curricular clubs and competitions.
The successful applicant should have experience in the use and maintenance of workshop tools and machinery as well as working with a range of different materials. Other necessary attributes are good Health and Safety in the workshop, ideally the use of computer aided design and manufacture.
