Wishes to appoint a PA to Head of School

Band 4 (Range £16,908 to £20,665 actual per annum)

37 Hours per week

Term Time, plus training days, plus two additional weeks during school closure

Required: March 2019

Brentwood County High School is currently seeking to appoint a well-qualified and efficient PA to the Head of School.

We wish to appoint a self-motivated and enthusiastic team member to take on this role in a successful and supportive school. The successful applicant will work within the schools administration team. The following attributes are essential:-

A positive, 'can do' attitude.
Excellent organisational skills.
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
The ability to show resourcefulness in dealing with competing deadlines and priorities in a busy school environment.
Ability to take responsibility for the efficient running of the Head Teacher's office, ensuring discretion and respecting confidentiality at all times.
The successful candidate may have the opportunity to study for the Certificate in Clerking of School and Governing Boards.

The ideal candidate should have :-

· English and Maths GCSE A to C grade is essential.

· Previous experience of working in a busy, educational environment.

· Detailed knowledge of applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

· Knowledge of SIMs is desirable but not essential, as training will be given.

· Good communication, ICT and organisational skills, with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

· A high standard of written and spoken English is essential in order to liaise with a range of personnel.

· Shorthand or tee-line is desirable, but not essential.

· The ability to work under pressure in an environment where there are constant interruptions.

· The ability to work on their own initiative and a high level of confidentiality is essential.
