Job Description

Kingsdown is a special school and is part of a Multi Academy Trust known as SEN Trust Southend. We are a school for pupils aged 3-14 years who have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties.

We are looking to appoint a Class Teacher to start in the Summer Term.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive, reliable and hard working class teacher who has an excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum. A good understanding of special needs is desirable. High energy levels are essential.

The successful candidate must have very good interpersonal skills as the role involves managing, leading and motivating a class team which includes three Special Support Assistants and a Midday Assistant.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
