SPECIALIST LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
(Visual Impairment)
LGS Level 5 Points 17 - 22, £18,672 - £21,074 per annum pro rata: 32.5 h.p.w Term Time Only.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Learning Support Assistant to support the needs of a visually impaired KS4 student for a fixed term, initially until July 2020. The contract could be extended if the student remains in our Sixth Form.
The person appointed will support the student within lessons as well as moving equipment to and from the classrooms; they will also be expected to modify resources needed, as well as liaise with classroom teachers to ensure strategies developed by the SENCO are shared, ensuring the student has full access to lessons. In addition, the person appointed will support the student in learning braille and attend monthly progress meetings with the SENCO
This may be suitable for a Graduate looking to secure experience in a Secondary School
