Job Description

Assistant Caretaker - Commencing ASAP

15 hours per week - 52 weeks a year 4 weeks paid holiday increasing to 5 weeks after 5 years' service.

We are looking to appoint aAssistant Caretakerto join our existing team to provide a clean, safe and healthy environment for the pupils and staff of the school.

We require someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, reliable and dependable. The post holder will be a pro-active person who will take pride in the appearance and maintenance of our school buildings and grounds A flexible and adaptable attitude is essential, as well as a friendly and approachable manner. They must be able to work independently and under the direction of the Site Manager.

Previous experience of a similar role would be an advantage, however, not essential, as on the job training will be provided.

We are looking for someone who:

•Knowledge / experience of building maintenance, cleaning and general caretaking skills.

• Has a flexible, organised and positive approach maintaining high standards within their work.

• Is reliable and conscientious and has excellent time management skills.

• Will be willing to attend training relevant to the post, including Health and Safety.

The post holder must be willing to cover evening lettings, work overtime on occasional evenings and weekends to support events and to attend the premises in the event of an emergency call out.

The successful applicant must be capable of ensuring that our children have a safe supportive environment to enable them to maximise their learning.
