Due to the well-earned retirement of our previous Cleaner-in-Charge, we are looking for someone with excellent self-organisation skills and a positive attitude to keep our 3 class school clean and sparkly! You will have some responsibility for maintaining site security, including key holder responsibility; for ensuring we are health and safety compliant on fire risks, legionella and asbestos and, at times, for allowing access to contractors. The hours and start date can be flexible, but 7am - 9am and 4pm-6pm are the hours currently in place, and we would like you to start as soon as possible.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and a team player
- A good communicator
- Self motivated, organised and able to manage own workload
- Experienced and knowledgeable about health and safety regulations with regard to fire, asbestos and legionella, or willing to undertake training
- Able to take pride in the appearance of our school
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able and prepared to work some unsociable hours (including occasional alarm call outs)
