Learning Support Assistant

1:1 with a named student

FIXED TERM TO 31st August 2024

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team of staff that are committed to supporting our pupils with learning difficulties and disabilities and to have particular responsibility for a named student who has significant medical issues which will be provided upon request.The successful candidate will need to have GCSE qualification grade C or above, or equivalent, in English and maths, and will need to receive or have had specific medical training to be able to attend to the student's personal and medical needs, including help with health/hygiene and welfare matter.

The pay band for the role is band 2 to mid-point (scp 11 to 14), which is £17,007 - £17,681.

The hours of work for the role will be 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday and this will be required term time, plus five non-pupil days (39 weeks). The actual hours if working will be 9 am to 12.45 pm and 13.15 pm to 15.30 pm, plus 45 minutes per week administration time.

The actual salary for the role is £12,497.08 to £12,992.35 (under 5 years' service) or £12,722.26 to £13,226.98 (over 5 years' service).
