Unique opportunity to lead two small school offices in Rochford and Stambridge

20 hours per week, term time plus 5 non-pupil days

Actual salary £10,960.76 (FTE £23,866)

We are seeking a hard-working individual to lead the offices in two small schools. Waterman and Stambridge Primary Schools have friendly and supportive staff, with a pupil roll of less than 100. In addition to this role, each school has a full time administrator (school support officer) to manage the day to day running of the offices. The successful candidate will be flexible, able to travel between the schools and stay for occasional after-school meetings. The hours are by negotiation and to suit the smooth running of the busy offices.

Duties include:

  • Supporting and leading the smooth running of the office and the School Support Officers
  • Managing the school finances, ordering resources, paying invoices and reconciling
  • Managing the school payroll system
  • Supporting systems for budgeting, in conjunction with Trust staff
  • Submitting financial returns
  • Managing the upkeep and maintenance of the school's premises
  • Managing the lunchtime and premises staff

The right person will have a good sense of humour, a love of working with children and a willingness to be part of our wider school communities. The successful candidate will be well motivated and able to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and understanding the bigger picture of being part of a successful and supportive multi-academy Trust.

If you have finance, school administration or office leadership experience and you are interested in working for the HEARTS Academy Trust, please apply via the Essex schools jobs website. Visits to both schools are very welcome and can be arranged with Donna Maynard at Stambridge Primary School and Tanya Browne at Waterman Primary.

Although this vacancy is for an immediate start, a September start can be agreed for the right person.
