Trust Finance Officer

Required November 2017

Salary: Band 5 point 18-26 (£20,838 - £26,382 fte)

Hours: 30-35 hours per week

(39 weeks of the year, inclusive of training days plus 3 additional weeks)

Due to further expansion of the Trust we are seeking to appoint an accomplished Finance Officer with excellent financial management skills to join our central finance team.

The successful candidate will report to the Trust Finance Manager. The role will include;

A link finance officer to one of our schools
Preparing Prepayments and Accruals
Closing accounting periods
Preparing budgets
Preparing Payroll Journal
Reconciling Payroll to budget
Justifications on variances

The Trust Finance Officer would also support the preparation and submission of financial returns, undertake accurate banking transactions and confidential payments/transfers and have an ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

You will liaise with colleagues and third parties, including auditors and work collaboratively with staff in our trust schools.

Qualifications and experience: AAT qualification, (or working towards) and relevant previous experience would be a significant advantage.
