We are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. The position would involve supporting a child with Down's Syndrome from 8.45am until 3.15pm. The role will include providing intimate care and tube feeding for which full training will be given. Experience of working with children with SEND is essential.
The successful candidate will need to have:
• excellent communication skills
• experience of working with children
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics
• an understanding of children with complex needs
• a clear commitment to the safeguarding of all children
Post will be 8.45am - 3.15pm Monday to Friday, term time only. This position is subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS check.
This is a public facing role and therefore the successful candidate must speak fluent English.
This position is a one year fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.
