An experienced Work Experience Co-ordinator is required from September 2017 for 25 hours per week (term time only) to provide an inspiring and best practice careers service throughout the school.

We are a specialist Special School and are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive, reliable and highly motivated work experience co-ordinator to work with students in our College Phase.

The school is keen to appoint an individual who is firmly committed to working with young people and has a passion for advising young people on their future career pathways. We are looking for someone who is positive, professional and an excellent practitioner.

The successful candidate will:

· co-ordinate work experience and provide information to employers, parents and learners regarding the requirements of work-based learning and to liaise with transitions and assessors to ensure timely responses to enquiries

· lead on the sourcing and monitoring of placements

· work directly with valued employer partners to expand the opportunities for our young people

· have a confident telephone manner and excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with a wide range of clients.

· require accurate record keeping and have attention to detail

· will need their own transport to attend employer visits.
