Are you enthusiastic, fun and full of energy? We are looking for someone with an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years (or similar) or a Degree in Psychology to join our team as a full time Behaviour Therapist.

The Ark Centre offers high quality multidisciplinary intervention for children between 2-6 years old and is tailored for children with autism and/or social communication difficulties. Each child has an individualised programme which the successful candidate will be implementing on a 1:1 basis.

As a behaviour therapist you will:

Run a 1:1 programme including Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language and Behaviour Therapy targets.

Have direct weekly training from Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists on how to run each programme.

Have direct training from the Senior Behaviour Therapists and monthly visits from a BCBA.

Plan and run group targets and activities, such as The Attention Autism programme.

Be highly motivated and energetic with endless patience and understanding.

Be responsible for 2 key children, update programme, analyse data, write one plans and host meetings with parents and outside agencies.

You must:

Have experience with working with children.

Be flexible and creative, with the commitment to provide high quality early intervention.

Hours of work: 9-5 Mon-Fri (35 hours per week)

Pay scale: £8-9 per hour (depending on experience)

The Ark Centre provides one to one, Behaviour, Occupational and Speech and Language Therapy for children with Autism and/or Social Communication Difficulties.

The centre runs 2 sessions a day and has a maximum of 8 children in each session.

We believe each child deserves an individualised programme to enable them to reach their full potential.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
