Tendring Technology College is a large successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school, which has two campuses; Frinton Campus (14-18) and Thorpe Campus (11-14). Following designation as a teaching school is now the lead school of the Tendring Teaching School Alliance. TTC is a key member of The Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), a multi-Academy sponsor which aims to provide the opportunity for all young learners to fulfil their real potential, broaden their horizons and become active, prosperous and successful citizens in the world around them

This post would suit an ambitious teacher who wants to further their career in a fantastic D&T Department. You will be an inspirational, creative and passionate teacher who shares their love of Design Technology with our pupils with a strong subject knowledge in Food & Catering.

The successful candidate will be

The Technology Department at the College is one of the most successful in Essex. We achieve excellent GCSE and A level results through the enthusiasm and commitment from staff for all students. We currently offer 5 technology subject choices at KS4 all taught in well-equipped specialist rooms with students able to access to a high number of CAM processes using modern equipment. We have one of the largest intakes of Technology A level students in North Essex, with 8 A Level groups studying Product Design, Resistant Materials and Textiles.

Tendring Technology College (TTC) serves a wide catchment area in the Tendring District that is a mix of rural and coastal environment with easy access to the vibrant town of Colchester with London Liverpool Street a straightforward train journey. TTC is unique in that it is a split site College with approximately 1900 students. The Thorpe campus is dedicated to our Key Stage 3 students and nearly 5 miles away is the Frinton campus for our Key Stage 4 and 5 students. For staff and students alike the split site at TTC offers the breadth of opportunity and experience of a large school, with the intimacy and care of a small school.
