Glebe Primary School is a happy, vibrant and caring school for children aged 3 - 11, incorporating a nursery and Enhanced Provision for Hearing Impaired Pupils (EPHIC). Our core values centre around the themes of learning, happiness, friendship, inclusion, being inquisitive and being ambitious.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader, with the vision, skills and drive to ensure that our school continues to move forward, building on the work of the current team.

The governors are looking for a passionate and dynamic leader to join the school in September 2016, who will focus on learning and the key life skills that are necessary to ensure that all pupils are successful learners both academically and personally for today and through their lives.

Glebe Primary School offers you:

  • a school underpinned by strong British values and "a happy and friendly community" (OFSTED 2013)
  • highly motivated and enthusiastic pupils whose behaviour is outstanding, particularly with regard to "the care and concern pupils show for their hearing-impaired friends." (OFSTED 2013)
  • committed and supportive staff, parents and governors who are proud of their school
  • an opportunity to help shape the future of teaching and learning.

We are looking for a headteacher who:

  • will lead, challenge and motivate staff and pupils to aspire to Good and then Outstanding status through vision, energy, enthusiasm, drive and commitment
  • is a strong communicator able to develop the school's contribution to the community and ethos of inclusivity
  • is adept at using and developing new resources to further improve and expand pupil attainment
  • has a proven track record in leadership and management.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please contact Sue Wyer, Office Manager, on 01268 784253.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
