Assistant Headteacher
Salary: Leadership Scale

We are an inclusive, nurturing school with excellent facilities for Outdoor Learning, an indoor swimming pool a Nurture Base and an Autistic Unit.
We are a five form entry school, judged 'Good' in our last Ofsted, with 104 children in our Nursery and due to recent expansion we have the opportunity to expand our leadership team. We have the opportunity to appoint a successful applicant to be responsible for the leadership, management and organisation at a strategic level. This will include the management of staff, resources and outcomes.
The main scope of the job:
To inspire high quality teaching and learning through the modelling of outstanding classroom practice
To contribute to the school's strategic development within the senior leadership team
To support the supervision of Year Group teaching and classroom support staff
To fulfil the role of Assistant Head teacher as set out in the current STP&C document
To deputise for the Deputy Headteacher as necessary
Be proactive in 'bringing to the table' and leading school improvement strategies
Share in school self-evaluation processes
Be instrumental in contributing to school improvement planning
Promote and implement whole school policies
Plan, lead, monitor and evaluate relevant staff development
To be responsible for classes and sets of children within Year 1 or the Foundation Stage, ensuring they receive a stimulating and challenging curriculum which engages them and enables them to make progress
To take a consistent, positive and sensitive approach to the children's pastoral and behavioural needs, and to promote the same amongst all staff
To share responsibility for tracking and target setting along with the Headteacher and Deputy
Contribute to the effective organisation and delivery of the curriculum
To work with the Head, Bursar and Governors to ensure school improvement priorities are cost effective, affordable and prioritised
