Following a restructure of the Special Educational Needs provision, we are seeking to appoint a new subject specific Learning Support Assistant within the Science Faculty:

Applicants should be educated to GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English and have gained or working towards a NVQ level 3 for Teaching Assistants (or recognised equivalent qualification) or HTLA. A good understanding of curriculum matters is required, as well as an understanding of child development and learning processes. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and students. The effective use of ICT to support learning is also require, as well as the commitment to own personal and professional development to achieve or exceed expected results for each student.

Your application should indicate your interpretation of the post and how your abilities, acumen and drive could help you to fulfil it. You are required to outline your successful experience of working to support student's learning in this subject area.
