Following a restructure by the Governing Body from September 2014, The Leverton Junior School is seeking to appoint a second Assistant Headteacher from January 2015, in order to secure good teaching and learning and help move the school forward. We will consider applicants for an April 2015 start.
Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion or Assessment (depending on expertise)
The Applicant will either:
-
be able to develop strategic direction of SEN, higher attainers, EAL, children from minority ethnic backgrounds and those children identified by the Pupil Premium
-
have a successful record in working with SEND children and experience of Inclusion
or
-
need excellent subject knowledge of successful Assessment for Learning strategies

have a successful track record in using data to drive school improvement
The successful candidate will:

be outstanding and innovative teachers, who have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour

be passionate about children's learning

have a proven record of raising attainment and developing the whole child

to be accountable for the strategic leadership and management of their area across the school and for ensuring the highest standards of pupil achievement

have teaching commitments, in order to demonstrate outstanding teaching, as well as leadership time

have good opportunities for professional development
