(Y)Our Opportunity

Somewhere in one of our Reception classrooms today, a four-year-old is about to say a sentence they have never said before. Imagine being there for it.

As an EYFS Teacher and Leader at Kemnal, you will write the very first chapter of a child's school story: stories, songs, number games and imaginative play, building language and confidence in equal measure. Your continuous provision will be rich, indoors and out. Your expectations will be high. And your classroom will be a place where every child is known, valued, and ready to be amazed.

We are looking for a teacher who is as happy on the carpet as at the planning table, and who believes that strong early foundations open doors for life.

The ideal EYFS Teacher and Leader will be someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status and has experience of working in an EYFS setting.
Has a sound understanding of the EYFS framework, the EYFS curriculum and play-based learning.
Plans and delivers an inspiring, broad and balanced curriculum, motivating children's learning through experience and interests, indoors and outdoors.
Develops children's personal, social, language, mathematical and creative skills through stories, songs, games and imaginative play.
Builds warm, effective relationships with children, and provides pastoral care in a safe, secure environment.
Adapts teaching to meet pupils' needs and works collaboratively with the EYFS Lead and wider EYFS team.
Brings high expectations, a positive outlook, flexibility, and a joy for teaching young children.

Great Early Years Teaching Starts with a Great Community: Your Benefits

We believe that in education, people matter most. Investing in your wellbeing and professional growth isn't just a perk, it's our priority. As part of Kemnal Academies Trust, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both your career and your lifestyle:

Exceptional development: Access high-quality development and training opportunities tailored to your role.
Career Pathways: Receive encouragement and support to grow your skills, with clear routes toward EYFS leadership, senior leadership, and wider trust roles, and support for further qualifications and professional development if desired.
24/7 Confidential Counselling: Free, round-the-clock support for you and your eligible immediate family members.
Family-Friendly Policies: Dedicated leave policies and flexible working options to support you through every stage of life.
Supportive Environment: Work within a forward-thinking culture that actively champions your work-life balance.
Blue Light Card Access: Eligible to apply for the UK's premier discount scheme, unlocking savings across shopping, dining, travel, and entertainment.
Cycle to Work Scheme: Spread the cost of a new bike and equipment for a healthier, more affordable commute.
Generous Pension: Secure your long-term future with substantial employer pension contributions.
