Early Years Key Worker - 30 hours
Hours of work: 30 hours per week. 9am - 3.30pm (including a 30-minute lunch break), Monday to Friday.
38 weeks per year plus INSET days (39 working weeks per year)
September 2024 start, however an earlier start can be discussed
Salary Band: Band 2, points 3-5
Salary: £23,426 - £24,189 full time equivalent including fringe allowance (pro-rata). Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience
The Wickford Church of England School and Little Teds Pre-School are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Key Worker to join our friendly team.
The successful applicant will:
- Provide a stimulating and safe environment for children in which they can develop to their full potential
- Supervise children in various activities
- Establish positive relationships with children and their parent/carer
- Promote an inclusive and acceptance for all children, including those with special needs;
- Monitor and record children's activities, progress and development
- Record detailed observations
- Assist children with snack time, including the preparation of food, assisting with eating and clearing up
Qualifications and experience:
- Educated to at least Level 2, ideally level 3 in Childcare
- Child protection and safeguarding legislation and procedures
- Basic First Aid
- Knowledge of child development

Information about the School
The Wickford Church of England School is a small, friendly school, close to good transport links. Our school is a place where children can thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. The school provides education for children from the ages of 2-7 in the local area. As a team, we aim to create a respectful, caring and secure place for children to explore, learn and be happy together.
