Nursery Assistant
Thurrock Band TLW/1 Point TLW-4 FTE £22306 - £23,578
31:15 hours per week term time only
Initial Fixed Term Contract for 1 year with possibility for a permanent position
Start date : Immediate Start
A great opportunity has arisen to work in our Nursery providing high quality care and education to the children.
You will have responsibility for all children placed in your care to safeguard and promote the child's welfare. You will need to have excellent team-working skills and communication skills. This role involves listening, questioning, understanding and responding to children and those caring for them.
Nursery Assistant Duties:-
-Deliver a high level of quality childcare whilst maintaining a professional and positive outcome for both children and staff.
-Contribute and be actively involved in the day to day running of the Nursery.
-Reflect upon your practice to ensure a continuous high level of quality childcare.
-Contribute to the monitoring of the standards within the Nursery to maximise the very highest level of childcare.
-Build effective relationships with our parents, children and staff.
We are looking for someone with some experience of working with children and an ability to be flexible to their changing needs. It is desirable, but not essential that the applicant holds an NNEB, BTEC, NVQ 3, equivalent childcare qualifications or be willing to train.

Information about the School
Our pupils are aged 3 – 11, ranging from Nursery to Year 6, and mainly live in the area surrounding the school.
