Kings Ford Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and skilled teacher to join our dedicated Autism Provision team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with our incredible children aged 7-11, helping them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally through highly personalised support.
We are looking for a teacher who understands that every child learns differently and who is passionate about adapting teaching to meet individual needs. The successful candidate will work with small groups and provide one-to-one teaching and intervention, designing learning experiences that build confidence, independence and success.

- Have experience of working with children with autism and additional learning needs.
- Can skilfully tailor learning to meet individual strengths, needs and interests.
- Are able to break learning down into manageable, achievable steps.
- Have a deep understanding of adaptive teaching and scaffolded learning.
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and their families.
- Are patient, resilient and committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
- Have high expectations and celebrate every success, no matter how small.
The Role
You will:
- Plan and deliver bespoke learning for individual pupils and small groups.
- Work closely with the Autism Provision team, SENDCo and class teachers.
- Develop personalised approaches that enable children to access learning successfully.
- Support pupils to develop independence, communication, social understanding and confidence.
- Monitor progress carefully and adapt provision to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment where children feel safe, valued and understood.
