EXPERIENCED YEAR 6 CLASS TEACHER
Stanway Primary School
Pay Range: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent Full-Time
Start Date: Ideally November 2026 or January 2027

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly effective Year 6 teacher to join our successful and forward-thinking school. We are seeking a committed professional with a strong track record of delivering high-quality teaching and achieving excellent outcomes for pupils in Upper Key Stage 2.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils through their final year of primary education, preparing them for a successful transition to secondary school while fostering confidence, independence and a love of learning.
Working alongside a dedicated whole-school team, you will share our child-centred ethos and commitment to continuous improvement, success and wellbeing for all children.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has successful experience teaching in Year 6 and/or Upper Key Stage 2
- Has a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, assessment requirements and end-of-key-stage expectations
- Fully supports and promotes the ethos and values of Stanway Primary School
- Delivers an exciting, engaging and rich curriculum that inspires children to love learning
- Has consistently high expectations of pupil achievement, behaviour and personal development
- Is skilled in using assessment effectively to accelerate progress and raise attainment
- Is a strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
